How long does the photography take?
You remain completely in control of the amount of time we spend on photography during the day. We offer a free consultation with you beforehand to find out exactly how you would like the photography to be planned around your day.
How long do you stay during the wedding?
We have many flexible options to suit your requirements, including getting ready before the wedding, the wedding ceremony, after the ceremony, wedding speeches and evening receptions. Our starting package includes from just before the ceremony, capturing all the key moments - through to just before you sit down for your meal.
How many photos do you take?
We take an almost unlimited amount of photographs, these are then edited to select the best. Depending on the time we are there, a typical wedding may have about 500 photos for you to choose from.
The final quantity of images in an album will depend on either your choice of package or your choice of album design. A typical 40 page designer or coffee book album may contain about 90 photos, depending on the layout of each page that you choose.
What are the advantages of digital cameras?
Digital cameras allow us to take almost an unlimited amount of photographs, enabling an even better selection for you to choose from. Having originally photographed weddings on conventional film for years, we switched to digital when we considered that the quality of the final prints from professional digital cameras and printing superceded that of conventional professional film. Digital printing brings every aspect of quality under our control, so we can get consistently great results.
Another advantage of digital, is that any photo can now be printed in either colour, black and white or sepia.
Do you do your own printing?
I control the quality of all the digital files for best colour and tone, with regularly colour calibrated technology. These files are then sent to a professional lab for high quality photographic printing. The time, care and attention to detail ensure you get great photos. By using a professional lab we ensure that the printed photos have the best chance of long term life without undue fading.
Do you offer only traditional albums or do you have a wide variety of options to choose from including any coffee table style books?
We offer a choice of traditional matted leather albums, flushmount albums with
prints mounted flush on the page with no mat borders or a gutter, magazine style flushmount albums and coffee table books.
What digital manipulation do you perform?
The basic quality control of colour and tone are checked and adjusted. Images are then ‘tidied’ this will sometimes be a slight softening of lines or skin blemishes where desirable. At your request, we can also touch up any details such as skin blemishes. On a custom basis, we can retouch, swap heads, and manipulate any photo to your choice. Complex editing is billed at $60.00 per hour.
We also offer full custom design of albums.
Do you offer a web site and CD of my images?
We post the photo's after the event on our web site. We also post a small slide show featuring our favorite images put to a music background. Images are supplied on a CD for viewing and proofing.
When do I get to see the pictures?
After the wedding we prepare a custom book for you to select your photographs and show to your family and friends. The book is usually ready when you return from your honeymoon, but may take 4-5 weeks depending on our work load.

Will you travel to ....
Usually a travel fee is not charged in the Greater Toronto area. However overnight accommodation may be charged if travel times exceeds 1.5 hours from our studio.
How many photographers cover our wedding?
No photographer can be in two places at once. We recommend that you select to have a second photographer help with the wedding coverage. This will allow multiple views, back-up coverage, and a far greater selection of images to choose from. We do not sub contract weddings bookings to other photographers, so I will be there at your wedding.
Can we have a DVD slide show?
We can produce a slide show on a DVD that plays on your TV and computer.
Other options?
We can offer various options for reprints, enlargements and framing. A popular request is for a multi frame where we can arrange several photos in one frame to create a great art piece for you home. We can also arrange thank you cards for your guests along with parent albums and a digital CD slide show.
